WELCOME TO VOICE OF CHRIST IN HAITI

We are very blessed to have you visiting our webpage. We exist because of you. Haiti cause, as you may have known, is a great cause who deserves attention. Its story was unveiled to the world by the different tragedy it had been through since the existence of this poor nation. This nation went through colonization to independence( first black republic who have been independent). She went from independence to unproductive governments, from poor government to poverty. In the midst of all these hardships, a 7.0 earthquake, in less than 35 seconds, had been savagely hit Port-au-Prince, the capital and some surrounded cities, over 300,000 had been killed and 250,000 amputees and left more than 1 million orphans. We are still living under the rubles of the buildings, under the rubles of poverty, despair, starvation, and diseases of all kind. We are looking for the "hands of love", people of great heart to helping us rescuing these unfortunates. I, the founder of Voice of Christ, had been under the ruble of many, many trials in Haiti. But, I have been rescued by God using some great people like you, some American missionaries who had changed my sadness and tears into a remarkable joy. Read my testimony at the page "About us". Therefore, this mission is based on gratitude or greatfulness to God Almighty. The author of Psalm 116 said "How can I repay the Lord for all his goodness to me?" Psalm 116:12. It is impossible to render to God his undiscribable miracles in our lives. He did it all free of charge. Christ charged our penalty on his account. The only thing he is asking to is an act of obedient and love.

We are praying, as you are touring the pages of this website that the God of the infinite love will touch your heart to be part of this great ministry. Not with finance only, although needed, but also, with your prayers and your visits. This is the only way we can give Haiti back to God who can turn the situation of this nation around.

We are welcoming construction team or any kind of contribution toward the rebuilding effort. We are launching a building project that would house our school, our orphanage, our medical center, etc. We have about 50 acres of land for our construction project. 20 of them had been donated by my parents and Voice of Christ had purchased 30 acres. We become bigger and bigger in five years. That means we need more space.

If you are interested in the incoming trips, please call us or send us an email and we will  put you in contact with our work team coordinator.

So, Voice of Christ is giving you a great opportunity to share your love at any extent to these kids. Even your presence is count. Having friends who would visit these children could make a huge difference in their lives by leaving an unspeakable joy and happiness in their face; joy they didn't have since they were born. Because of too much to bear.

Our motto is: "Blessed is he that helping the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble. The Lord will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth... Psalms 41:1 and 2.

Our goal in the lives of the Haitian people is to change their uncertainty to certainty through the living blood of Jesus Christ. We are bringing hope in their lives by telling them that it is not over yet with Jesus. How can we smile at the time of distress? Because of Him. "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble." Psalm 46:1.

We make it convenient for you to donate any amount you will be willing to give by using the donate button below.

Now, I would like for you to meet such a wonderful and dedicated team that have done an outstanding job at the mission.

Let us welcome our friends from Alabama. Voice of Christ was very thrilled to have a group of 8 people from Alabama who went to install a Water Purification System for our school and a solar panel system to generate electricity 24 hours and also you will have the privilege to meet Lisa, a nurse practitioner and Carol her friend, who had been holding a clinic and they had seen dozens of dozens of patients at the mission. As you may know, the water is one of the deadliest weapon in Haiti. We are blessed to have good drinking water for our children. All the Voice of Christ staff would like to express their profound thanks for such a great achievement. Because of them, all of our 200 students are now drinking safe water.

We had received the visit of two good friends from Atlanta who have donated money to expand our church building who is now too small. The expansion has started. And now, we are closed to finish.

Lisa and Carol  were back and had seen dozens of patients again with all kind of diseases. Brother Bert, the electrician has completed the solar system project and was doing more electric work in our  church building.

 To God be the glory!!!!!!!

Here,  in the left is brother Sullivan, Tony the chemical engineer in the center and brother Chris on the right is one of the labor. They are installing the Water Purification System.

Brother Chris is first in line(brother Chris is a farmer) and brother Bert the electrician is far behind. Brother Bert had done a terrific job running electricity in every building at the mission. He is now working on a very important solar system project that will allow us to have electricity 24 hours a day.

Praise God the job is done!!!!!!!!!

Lunch time

Jesus said:
In Matt 25:35-36

35: For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger; and you invited Me in. 36 Naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to me.

 Mark 9:37
"Whoever receives one child like this in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me does not receive Me, but Him who sent me.".

Matt 10:42
2 "And whoever in the name of a disciple gives to one of these little ones even a cup of cold water to drink, truly I say to you he shall not lose his reward."

This is what Voice of Christ in Haiti is all about.

 Our Vision

Our Vision is to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ through:

  1. Evangelism

2. Education

3. And Health

Here is the reality of Haiti based on these statistics

Per capita annual income is less than $400.00

80% of the population lives in poverty

More than 2/3's of the work force do not have job

Less half of the population has running water

4% of the rural population has electricity

Only 2.5 doctors per 10,000 inhabitants

Infant mortality is the highest in the hemisphere (79 per 1,000 live births)

Life expantency is 52 years

The adult HIV/Aids prevalence rate is 5.6%

75% are ileterate, only 25% literate

40% of Haiti's schools have no actual buildings

This is the reason why that Voice of Christ put a lot of emphasis on Education and Health.

OUR PLACE OF MINISTRY

We are working in a village called Lecanta closed to Saint-Michel de l'Attalaye,  East of Marchand Dessalines( look on the map on the picture gallery page). We are outside of Port-au-Prince, about 60 miles North. You would know the beauty of Haiti if you had only visited Port-au-Prince. You've got to come to the village to discover this beauty especially if you are a naturalist or a poet. It is so pretty when leaving Port-au-Prince to go to Lecanta. We are talking about the beaches on the side of the road, the trees, the coconuts, the banana trees, the ochestra of all kind of birds, the road nicely paved as any other part of the world. At night you will contemplate million of stars especially on the new moon. The village is surrounded by some big mountains. We're calling it fortified village. However, the beauty cannot stop the children dying from all kind of diseases and starvation. Illiteracy is very high. There is no health care and nothing. The people is living on despair. They are all waiting on the hands of love to rescue them. Would you come with us to show them what the real life looks like and to show them that they are some people like you who care. Even your smile would be a piece of treasure for them.

Our Immediate Needs

  1. It is imperative to build a bigger school building, the children's home, and the medical center as soon as is absolutely possible.

2. We need to keep our feeding program running by shipping full containers of rice, beans, oil, peanut butter, clothes, school furnitures and medical supply.

3. We need to buy hundreds of French and Creole Bibles.  We have already established contact with a christian library called"Depot du livre chrétien" in Quebec Canada. The price for one Bible is $6.85, plus shipping and handling. They will be shipping directly from Canada to Haiti.

4. We need to drill at least one well to provide drinking water for the community.
